Our dear patron St. Luke, you are inspired by the Holy Spirit to write for mankind the Holy Gospel. The Gospel according to you covers the birth of Jesus in great detail and reveals God as the merciful Father of all and is known as the gospel of the Holy Spirit and of joy.

Your love for Jesus was so great that you abandoned your illustrious career to work in His vineyard. You realized that the harvest is great but the laborer's are few. Guided by the hand of God you painted the first miraculous image of Mother Mary with the child Jesus in her arms. We praise and thank you Lord for giving us St. Luke as our patron and through his intercession we invoke your blessing of peace and joy on all of us. Amen.
